holes in cylinder

I'm very new at this so I'm sorry if this is dumb. I created a cylinder with a hole through the center and need to add holes through the face into the center hole and I can't figure out how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Create new workplane.

Select one of the origin planes or axis.

Select side of cylinder.

Now you have a plane on which to Sketch a Hole Center Point.

Sorry if I seem a bit inept, but I can't seem to do this at all. I have a 1.5" dia Cylinder and need 4 holes in the side. The directions you gave aren't making much sense to me. I have tried to do the things you suggested but so far nothing. I am using Inventor 2013.

Create the first hole and then do a Circular Pattern.

Attach your ipt file here if you can't figure it out.

Click Circular Pattern tool.

Click on the Hole.

In the Circular Pattern dialog box select the Selection tool for Axis and select the side of the cylinder.

Enter 3 instances and click OK.

BTW, your sketches are not constrained and you are doing too much work.

I recommend you go through these
