I'd like to use an "NPT" Hole Dialog thread but it doesn't show up in the Thread type list.
But it does show up in the Thread Dialog/Specifications Tab/ Thread type list so it's available.
I definitely have "NPT" in my Thread.xls & I have my Options/Files set to point to the correct Design Data folder.
See 3 screen shots attached.
Anybody have ideas what's wrong & how to fix? Thanks.

When I went back to look at you jpg I see you did not have this picked by what threads it was showing is how I noticed.
jletcher,
The IPT is a specialized thread used in the lighting industry. Those threaded pipes that go into table lamps use it. For example 1/8 IPS is actually same as 3/8-27 thread. It's based on pipe somehow but it still is not intuitive at all.
I was looking for the NPT thread for an electrical conduit nut part. It's definitely not a tapered thread on standard hardware store EMT electrical fittings. So that's why I didn't think to pick the tapered icon in the hole dialog. Guess it's just one of those trade specific threads for the electrical industry.
3/8 NPT
1/2 NPT etc.
In catalogs they just call it 1/2 or 3/8 without any letters.
US trade thread designations are as non intuitive as lumber designations!
Thanks for the help.
