Hole Descriptions not properly displayed

I have a user that when he opens his hole dialog box, the descriptions are not in a readable format. This is after an install of AutoDesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2015 using the Inventor application. Picture below.Hole descriptions.png

Any Ideas on how to correct this would be helpful to the user. We tried reinstalling but no change. The thread dialog also does the same.

I think that the Users account on the PC is the problem. As soon as I seen the %variable it's leading me to issues with his account. Have the user try logging in on the machine with a different user account.

If thats the issue either your IT can resolve the issue or we can attach the procedure to correct it.

spiratex,

One of the things that you might want to try is the Inventor Reset Utility:

Thank you.

Tried recreating the users profile with no help. It seems to be affecting all profiles.

spiratex,

Unfortunately, I think that you are now down to needing to uninstall and reinstall.

Please let us know if this does not work.

Thank you.

Actually using the Inventor Reset toll actually displayed the hole description correctly until the user modified some options. Below is a list of what was changed. Any idea what would cause the hole descriptions to display like above after making some changes?

Options that the user changed

  1. Sketch tab
    1. Settings… button
      1. I checked the “Display constraints on creation” box
    2. I checked “Autoproject edges for sketch creation and edit” box
  2. Assembly tab
    1. I checked “Place and ground first components at origin” box
  3. Part tab
    1. I checked “ Display extended information feature node name in browser” box

As soon as changes are made to settings in Inventor, they are written to the Windows Registry upon proper exit of Inventor. It appears that something is not allowing for proper updating of the Windows Registry. Either a bad user profile or inadequate rights on the PC.
