Hole and Bolt Threads dialog box does not open

Anyone have an idea why my Thread dialog box won't open in Inv 2015 Win 8?

I also cannot access the tapped function in my holes dialog box.

The Hole and Thread features require Microsoft Excel.

Also check that the Thread.xls file resides in the correct directory: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-general-discussion/dialogue-box-for-hole-feature-only-works-f...

If this is a new install, make sure that Microsoft Excel has run at least once and you have accepted the EULA.

I have 2 thread files in the correct directory and 2 clearance files in the
correct directory. (xls 2013 and compatible versions)
I have tried isolating each set thinking there might be a conflict - but
that did not help.
When I isolate the 2013 version - nothing changes - dialog still does not
open
When I isolate the compatible version - I get a message that says the file
cannot be found.
So, apparently the application is seeing the file, but it won't open it.

I looked at your Applications Options > File Tab picture and mine looks
identical to yours except for the Projects Folder listing
Where yours says \\server 2013blair$\Inventor
Mine says %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Inventor\

I don't think that is the problem though.

As far as accepting the EULA - Wouldn't I have done that when the
Application was installed? If not, how would I go about doing that now?

Anyway, any other ideas?

Microsoft requires that each program be run at least once. When the program opens, you will then be presented with a dialogue box requiring either a acceptance of the EULA or exit the program.

Just open Microsoft Excel an make sure.

I use Excel all the time, so I am sure I have accepted the EULA.

I can open a file that has threads on it and access the threads from the Browser Panel, and even edit the threads.

However, when I go to create threads on a part - My Ribbon will not allow the dialog box to open.

Have or did you restart Inventor after making the changes?

Any changes won't show until after you restart Inventor as it needs to reacquire the new/chnged file even if it is the same name.

It seems like this solved my problem with one hitch.  I had to delete all files but the default file from my recent files in the registry, too.

Thank you so much! I appear to be up and running with my thread feature.
