Hidden Lines not displaying on parts with Shell features

In my idw drawings none of the hidden lines are showing on parts that have been made with the Shell feature. All other hiddens are showing up accordingly. I'm pretty sure it's the Shell that is causing the problem. All the parts that are affected were made from the same HSS tube template file.

Is there a known bug or a work around for this issue?

BTW I'm running R6SP1 on NT4

Thanks,

Heath

Never mind,

I just solved the problem. My HSS tubes had a fillet on outside corners that was equal to or greater than my shell thickness. By increasing the outer fillet by .001", the hidden lines now show up in my idw.

Thanks anyway

Can you post one of the parts to CF? I've seen instances where a shelled part
won't show some edges, but I think it's because of some "not so good" surfaces
being created in the process. A simple shape generally won't cause that. One
thing you might look for: is the shell dimension larger than or equal to any
of the rounds on the part (e.g. there's an outside corner rad of .25 and the
shell is .25 or greater). I don't know, but it's possible that such a
condition might cause problems.

Walking carpet? "I'd just assume kiss a wookie" oh wait, that's me... OK seriously folks, I did solve the problem but to answer Jeff's request, I'm afraid I don't what CF is. I'm new to this forum as well as Inventor (took the basic course with Ryan Small)

If you let me know what CF is I'll be glad to upload the part.

Heath,

FYI, I had reported this exact condition you describe to autodesk back in
R5/5.3 time frame.

Bummer it isn't addressed yet.

BTW, you know you can call your dealer for help eh?
