help with loft

I make a pipe and use loft/sculpt to give impression of pipe end as squashed.Where the lofts start on the end of the pipe it does not look natural...i tried different actions for trying to get the loft flowing naturally...any thoughts..

Thanks

I would suggest saving your file out as a 2013 or older release, and reposting here.  many, if not most of us have not upgraded to 2014 yet and won't be able to open your file.

cbenner,

Saving out to older version?

Is that possible in 2014?   That would be a nice change.

Describe what you want to change.

Expand on "Natural" a bit, or attach a photo of the desired result.

Any you can't save out an older version of Inventor. (I believe)

Dang!  Never had cause to try it, so I just assumed you could!  Why would that NOT be a standard function like it is in Autocad?

Sorry for the bad advise!

1.) You can only export out to a neutral format, IEGS or STEP.

2.) Make sure that the flattened end had the same surface area as the normal round end. This will help with the Loft appearance.

thanks, on the Win perform index the only score not at 7.9 is the CPU at 7.8. If I overclock it a bit I'll get a 7.9 across the board.

If you use rails it will give you a better result. I didn't bother with the inside rails, as frankly could care less what the inside looks like, but technically I should of added them too. pluys my screen is set for performance not prettiness 🙂
