Hi!

You need a loft, but not as you are thinking, i guess.

Its better do one part and then make a circular pattern to achive all part
I dont have Inv 2013, so i 'm sending you the model in step format.

But i can explain how to do it, if you will.

Mindblowing !

I was wondering if there was any error in my sketches.
Kindly expand the (+) for the loft feature. I want to know which sketched you used, please.

Again, thanks for your help Carlos.

Hi!

It's a little moere then this.

First objective: create the surface with loft.

1 - Create a construction plane (chose the central axis and a poin of the octahedron near your "vertical" skecth2)

2 - Open sketch2 and copy the geometry

3 - Create new sketch (sketch8 in the image) and paste the geometry. Transform the copyed geometry in "block" to maintain the form intact.

project the points from both tetahedrons and conect the copyed geometry to these two projected points.

4- Now you have two sketches (your in red iand the new in blue), you can perform the loft: open the loft tool, change to surface mode and chose both sketches.

Now you have a nice surface. End of first objective.

And yet a simplier approach.  I am using 2015, but here is a video of how I did it.

Hi! The part can be created using Loft feature. However, it cannot be done in just one Loft. It requires multiple Lofts. Loft has an internal restriction on how the face should behave along the section progressing direciton. The faces in that direction has to maintain smoothness (at least tangent continuous or curvature continuous).

Thanks!
