help with help

Hi,

since Autodesk had moved help on line (2012), and only on line I can not use help when I do not have internet.

Is there any way to download, install, or simpy get it in any way to my computer and have it locally?

In old days help for some programs could have been standalone application. Perhaps it just could be coppied from some older version.

Puting ewerything onilne is not such a good idea afterall.

Regards,

Cris

I agree. However, the advantage of web based help is the ability to make corrections to keep the help updated.

Agree entirely, no harm in referring to an online help systems to try and keep everything as up to date as possible is fine, but not installing a "valid at time of release" version as an off-line reference is a crazy decision.  (and then ironically expecting users to download the offline help for use when they can't get online)

I woll however have to wait to download untill I will have acces to good conection. On one I have now it would take ages to download.

Do you know that Vault server installer is not inclouded in newest "Design Suite Ultimat". I had to download over 3 GB to install it. nonsens ?

I paid over 11000 euro and had to download installer. Straing politics?

Hi kmeldfreyssinet,

There is a tip at this link for changing a setting to use the offline help files all of the time (once downloaded):

I hope this helps.

Good luck with all of your Inventor pursuits,

Curtis
