I have the same problems that other user have with 64 the flash player. Windows 7 x64 Pro with Inventor 2011 64 bit installed. I have tried everything on the page including the 64 bit flash player, uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player, disabling Windows Internet Exploder 8, using another browser etc but to no avial. Whenever I lauch the help file which includes a topic with flash animation in them I get the "do you want the following program to make changes to your computer" Adobe Flash Player message poping up several times and whether I answer yes or no repeatedly the animations are blank and do not play. When I go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ the flash player test shows that version 10.2.182.26 is installed correctly and working. Flash player works on all the other programs I use except for Inventor 2011. Any ideas on how to fix this?
As a test, I took ownership of the iexplore.exe file in the 64-bit folder and renamed it. Then I replaced it with the iexplore.exe from the 32-bit directory. Now when the 64-bit version tries to get launched, it launches the 32-bit executable instead. Works like a charm. Who needs 64-bit IE anyway? Not me.
