Hi All,
I am designing some framed wooden gates with a tongue & grove face and would like to play around with different
profiles along the top edge of the gates to see how they look.
I have created a Part called "Strip" which is basically a 100mm*19mm rectangle extruded to 1800mm. I then create an
assembly of strips with the relevant constraints to effectively produce a rectangular panel.
My question is how can i cut a profile along the top of this 'panel' e.g
from this panel assembly...

any and all help appreciated
In 2008 I would create a skeleton file and then use Derived Components
or
create a custom profile and use the Frame Generator.
Attach your file(s) here if you can't figure it out.
Johnny,
You can also create a 2d sketch in the assembly (by selecting the face on your "Strip") and draw a closed profile in it. Then extrude the profile (with cut option).
