Help!! Project paths gone!!

I'm in panic mode since this morning, all the project paths are gone!! I was
working in a small assemblie (3 parts) and I got a m.s windows error
telling my of some info that couldn't be saved, however it didn't crash
Inventor. When I was going to save, the project structure for the project
wouldn't show on the side window so I couldn't save. Restarted the machine,
went to my projects and all of them are gone, went to the folder where you
save only the project files and all of them are gone as well!!!

What happened to them?? How can i get them back?? I do backups of the
project folders, so the ipj. files are there , but how do I set them all up
again???

Inventor 7, SP1 , Windows xp pro, latest updates

Can't you just double-click the ipj
files?

What do have defined as your projects folder?

Tools>Application Options>File tab>Projects Folder
field

This setting is dependent on the registry entry and if for
some reason the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor gets deleted it
will resort to the default which is your My documents folder.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this will happen if you
loose network connection while in Inventor.

The easiest way to restore them for me was to just use the Browse
feature in the Project tab and browse to all the IPJ files on the
network to add them back.
