I just build my computer.
I have a Nvidia Quadro k4200 graphics card.
I am running Inventor Professional 2015, though when I go to see a realistic view mode, I enable ray tracing and it will just quit afterwards.
I have installed all hot fixes and service packs. Changing the hardware options does not help aswell.
Thanks,
Matthew
My compjuter isn't even close to over heating, and no I click the button and it says enabling ray tracing then it just unexpectedly shuts down.

Changing the mode doesn't help either, I have also tried trinstalling and re installing windows and inventor as well,
I don't know how to fix it...
Did you try "software graphics" option in application options/hardware tab?
and how about updating your graphics card driver?
I have tried software graphics as well.
My computer has the latest graphics card driver for my computer aswell.
raytracing is cpu based
what is shutting down inventor or your computer?
