in a major bind and need help!
I've got a client that needs some parts
updated and to him by Monday. These parts were done by another contract house
and they can't be reached at this time.
The problem I'm having I'm sure is fixable, I just don't know how.
We have parts (models and related detail sheets), they are at their current
revision level and I need to update them to the next revision. There's where
the problem lies.
Parts are filed as 123-A ("A" being the rev level) so I have 123-A.ipt and
123-A.idw. If I do a "save as" on the 123-A to a 123-B and do the same to the
detail sheet, I can make all the chenges I want to the model but the detail
sheet's views are all still looking at 123-A's model thus I get no updates.
First, how is this done and mostly, how do I break this "link" or at best,
redirect it to look at the new revised model?
