Helix Creation

Can anyone tell me how to create a helix sweep path in Inventor R&?

Are you trying to create just the path, or do you
want to use it for a sweep? 

If you're going to use it for a sweep just use the
Coil Feature to create your helix. 

If you're looking for just the line path use the
Coil command again to create a coil, then because the coil command needs a
profile use the Delete Surface command to delete any surfaces you don't
want.  Next create another surface that will be the diameter of the helix
that will intersect with coil.  Now create a 3D Sketch and use the 3D
Intersection to create your 2D helix path.

I added an example of a part in the
CF.
