This will require most of the tools in your toolbox.

Attach your attempts here as you go for suggestions and instructions.

Tip 1: Forget the easy features - concentrate on the difficult features first.

Pretty much every tool like JD said. (Except for tube and pipe along with frame generator)

I would start with the exterior first doing fillets last.  Then work to the interior core along with the flange holes save for pretty much the last feature.

I was thinking I might do just the opposite.

Model the "missing" interior core as a solid body that I would later Combine-Subract from the main part.

One thing for sure - this isn't a beginner part. (or actually, assembly)

Frankly, based on the most recent posts by the OP, I think this one might be just a bit too advanced for now.

But hey, give it a go and let's see what happens.

wh,thank you

i think the shape i want is different in that it is more compact up the top section.

Is it possible to use this picture attached to get the shape?

thanks for help

IMO this is no easy task, and only one 2D view normally is not enough.

I've tried to get an impression of the outer faces, and I think, I'm rather near to the section view. But as can be seen, lot's of features were needed.

In the end, I tried to place a surface fillet between the red and blue faces, but no luck. And suddenly, duplicate faces showed up and couldn't be deleted.

😉 My impression: Another task for Autodesk.

For better visibility, main color should be switched from Yellow (Clear) to Yellow (Dark) or similar

I don't think, that it's too difficult for Inventor.

Smiley Wink Sometimes the problem is placed on a chair. See my 2nd attempt.
