Grove

HI I am new to Inventor.
I am trying to put a grove in an ellipse. I sketch the ellipse then extrude it to the length I want. Next I want to put some groves around the radius. I cant work out how to do this. I am able to put groves in a cylinder using the content center.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Can you "Sweep" the grooves using the end edge as a path.

If you can't figure it out can you zip and post what you have so far?

Yes that is exactly what I want to do. How did you do that?

Dissect my example. Edit the sketches and hit F7 (slice graphics)
