Graphic cards

Finally my company is thinking of buying new computers for our "Inventor Team".
And I ve started looking at grahic cards again, but Im lost.
1.Nvidia have 3 Quadro series- Quadro NVS,Quadro4 and QuadroFX. which fits Inventor best?
2.Elsa are making cards again(I thougt they were declare bankrupt) with ATI chips. Any good?
3. WildcatVP (Wildcat4 maybe a bit expensive)
WildcatVP880Pro with 256 MB looks to be in our pricerange.
Anyone had any experience with this?

1: Quadro4 and QuadroFX
2: Probably not (at the moment)
3: Dont know, but they are supposedly slower than nVidia.

You could check your reseller for prises.
http://www.quad.no/ has both wildcat's and quadro's.

Norwegian: Hei, sjekk f.eks quad.no for quadro
og Wildcat kort.(Tror også komplett.no har wildcat
forøvrig)

For sammenligning sjekk evt. med Internasjonal pris
da FX serien har kommet med 3000 og 3000g (

)

Hei igjen:) Takk begge!
Quad var en glimmrende side.

After looking closer at prices it looks like Quadro FX500 or Quadro4 750 XGL is in our pricerange.Any recommendation?

I have an FX500. All I can say it is faster under most operations than
my old Gloria III. Anyone willing to send me a 750 XGL to to a head to
head test with?

What's is your system AGP buss speed capable of? The FX cards are all
8x AGP, so roughly 2X the bandwidth of 4X AGP, but still backwards
compatible to slots capable of accepting AGP Pro. I can't speak to the
750 capablilties, but if there is a 780XGL then it is more of an equal
to the FX500. The deciding factor for me was that the FX series is a
newer chip with (ideally) more advanced design.

Wouldn't it be great to have a local forum for Inventor?
A forum where we could discuss local stuff, and to do so in native
language?? (Norwegian, Swedish or Danish).

Well, wait no longer..
The "Scandinavian Forum for Inventor" is found at www.bjornes.org .

Vi sees der,
Hilsen Jørgen

the most expensive graphic card will pay for itself by saving manhours.it will pay for itself in one week.
checked out the scandinavian forum, can follow about 70% of it. home languages english, afrikaans(derived from dutch and flemish , but not back compatible, I can understand them but they can't understand me)plus some german.

Well maybe this is kind of dumb but I never gave much thought to where the name quadro came from. So I'm doing a search and come up with sQUADROn - LOL. Maybe they played Rogue Squadron a lot at Nvidia 🙂

Elsa Europe went bankrupt.  Elsa Asia is still
in business.

Elsa resells Nvidia cards and drivers. Check the
Nvidia site for other resellers and "thecadstore" on the internet for good
prices.
