Hi all. I have a workstation/gaming PC that I use for, well, work and gaming. I built it to work well with inventor and with games (which I am very happy with so far), and I recently bought Nvidia's new gaming card, the GTX970, and honestly I love it. The new 970 has 1664 CUDA cores, which would speed up my frequent rendering a ton.
So, I'm looking to see if it's even possible in the first place to make it so that inventor uses my GPU instead of/in tandem with my processor when it comes to rendering, and if it is possible, how would I set it up?
My main PC components for reference:
Xeon e3-1241v3 @Anonymous GHz
16 GB RAM @1600 MHz
Asus STRIX GTX970
256GB SSD
Thanks in advance,
Rheese G
Inventor has never encompassed the video cards as well as it has the dedicated CAD video cards. So there is no way that I know of force it to use the GPU of a gaming card. Have you looked at any of our (Autodesk’s) other rendering products to see if they might be more appropriate if you do a lot of rendering?
you would need to look Autodesk Showcase or 3ds Max to have GPU rendering
