Global Variables?

Can you somehow setup a some sort of global variable that can be used across
differents in an assembly?

I know essentially "Adaptivity" is taking care of this business. But I want
to know how you can relate dimensions across different parts in an assembly.

One way is to use a linked spreadsheet, See my tutorial on Linked &
Embedded Parameters (mainly Part Two) for an explanation.

another would be to derive in the parameters from one to the other. But then you would
always have to edit them from the first. Seans method is probably the best for what you
are describing.

Is there like a syntax that I can simply input?
something like d1_part1 = d3_part4 ?

I have not been able to make it work in IV6, but there are no globals in 5.3,
and I don't think it made it into 6. There are a couple workarounds that I'm
researching.
