get coordinates from dwg file

Hi!

I have open a dwg file in Inventor and I would like to export the x, y coordinates to excell or a textfile. Is that possible to do from Inventor? How? I attached the dwg file to this message.

Rixon,

Since the file you provided is in AutoCAD I would suggest that you look for a 3rd part app for extracting end of line and arcs.

From what I can tell, that is what is in the DWG.

You might want to drop points on a new layer at the ends of arcs and lines and then export them to an Excel Spreadsheet.

The exact command elude me at the moment.

As for Inventor, you would pretty much need to do the exact same thing.

I do remember that their was a 3rd party app to export work points to Excel.

Does this help?
