Genreall Question to using an iMate

Hallo everyone,

I have a question to using an iMate.

I create a part_1 with iMates.

And i create a part_2 with iMates with the same names.

Now I have an assembly_1.

There are a Subassembly sub_1

and in the subassembly is another subassembly sub_1_1

and at last there is a subassembly in the subassmebly sub_1_1_1

and in this sub_1_1_1 is the part_1

Hope it is not so confused

Now when I try to insert the part_2 in the assembly_1 with using iMate the part_2 will not find the iMates of the part_1.

Is that correct. And when this is normal, is it possible the part_2 find the iMates of part_1 und the subassembly sub_1_1_1

Hi! iMate match only happens to iMates in the components on the same level. If they are not on the same level, they won't match. Thanks!

Hi Johnson,

thanks for your answer.

That helps me to define the imates at the correct level.

Why?  This is a stupid rule that messes up the BOM structure.
