Generating an Elbow on a metal part drawing

I would like to ask , how to create the elbow part of a metal type  ( actually a  J-shape Bolt  Threaded material)  .

I had finished  the  straight part  by  simply revolving my required profile. then i was to  draw the  elbow part but "sweep" doesnt  work  out

Inventor version?  Post the file here.

In what way does Sweep not work out?  Have you tried using the Bend Part tool?

If all you want is a "j bolt" you need 2 sketches.. 1 is just a "J" shaped single line sketch.. Then the other sketch is just a circle starting on a plane perpendicular to the first sketch start or end point. Then sweep and voila a "J"

see attached (done with INV 2012)

Is this what you want?

I'm not sure how you'll get the nut past the bend?!

A Google search on "J Bolts" shows the thread on the straight part only - so no, that isn't what the OP is after.
