I am really new to AutoDesk Inventor, but i know that there is a way to create gears using a gear generator. I cannot find the generator or good instructions on how to use it. If someone has experience using this CAD could please help me, it would be great.
You'll find the Gear generator on the Power Transmission panel of the Design tab in assembly (.iam) files. You'll need all the data relating to the gear you're making (ratio, module, pressure angle etc). It's fairly simple to use, check wikihelp for more detail...
You need to be in am assembly (*.iam) file to get access to this Design Acclerator.
