So I was speaking with someone about how Solidworks has the ability to output G-code to machine parts without the use of a seperate CAM software. Does anyone know if Inventor has the ability to do this with some sort of add on? Or even if Autodesk offers a program that does this that would work well with Inventor or if I must use a seperate CAM software to do it. I have used Mastercam in the past but wasn't sure if there was an easier way to do so.
same error..still

Can you confirm whether HSM Express supports CNC lathe paths?
Pretty sure express does NOT support turning.. Only 2.5D milling..

I'm in.. horray..
Thanks Anthony,
Is mcgyvr correct in that HSM Express doesn't support CNC Lathe toolpaths?
Maybe those in the beta should get a free license of the full blown HSMworks (crosses fingers with an evil grin)
I suppose the beta will only work with INV 2014 too?
I like your thinking!
Yep, I'm still on IV2013 but think I'll be moving to 14 sooner than normal now that the Premium Product Design Suite includes Professional giving me FEA.
For those of you who don't already know the CAM add-in is now out of beta stage and can be found at: http://cam.autodesk.com/
