This was one of my favorite parts of the forum and has kinda slid by the wayside - last one I can find was a couple months back.
Anyway, what are you working on? Here's my project this week - started drawing it Monday and should have a prototype installed in a car in about 2 weeks. The picture with all the shift knobs shows comparison between stock shift knob positions (left) and those with the new shifter (right).
Magnetic rotary feeder. This one released yesterday, a similar one is getting released today.
This is actually an iLogic powered smart assembly. I spent all week working out the final bugs. At this point anybody can power up inventor, open this assembly, enter options and order info and it will generate all neccessary documentation, prints, BOM, and upload to our ERP database. The BOM contains, depending on options, between 104 and 115 line items.
Very cool! Seems like everything I work on lately is a one-off and I haven't gotten to play with iLogic in a while. Even when I did, I never got to that level of integration - very nice!
Rendered in Showcase:
Nice work on the shifter!
nothing as complex, a single wheel trailer I designed this past winter. Works as expected and will be on the road heading from Mpls to the west coast next Friday!

Hi Mikah, I was working on changing a shifter geometry this week too. I had to add a dogleg after doing a transmission swap (Nissan Maxima 5-speed into a 1971 Datsun 240z).
I should have modeled it in Inventor first, since I had to re-work it a second time ... lol.
Nice work on that trailer! I haven't had the opportunity of doing anything like those baskets in IV before. Everything I do is sheetmetal or shape iron. Would you mind posting one of the part files for me?
Very cool trailer! Love the suspension setup - very nice! Hope it cools off a bit before your road trip - I would not want to be on a bike at the moment!
No problem. The baskets I wasn't too concerned how acurate they were, just wanted something close to the real thing.
And I might have experimented a bit with how it's modeled!
done in Inventor 2011
Tks
I hear ya about the temp's...I'm a little concerned since I haven't done what is needed to cool the bike down, it's stock concerning air intake, head pipe and exhaust. Still has the cat in the head pipe so the heat coming off the motor is unbelievable.
the route coming back home goes right thru the massive heat wave in the central U.S. so a change of plans may be in order!
Cab protector for class 8 low-bed truck
Thanks for the part files.
We had a heat index here at 108 yesterday, and I don't have A/C. Me and my fan became "close" friends.
Nice work
Chassis done is Showcase, really getting to like working in Showcase over Studio, still struggling with 3dMax.
Here is a mobile communication tower I modeled. It has been modeled down to the nuts and bolts for BOM purposes. I then rendered it out in Keyshot 3
Here is one of our drums done in Showcase...
