Friday pictures 25-april-'14

Had to draw this chemical mixer/rinser for lack of a 3d model from the supplier, thought it might make a nice picture for today:

Fustenreiniger_inzet.jpg

The photograph shows it's position in our spraying machine.

Again done in Showcase 2014.

Anyone have any 2015 renders to show already?

Not a great rendering, but this little project has been my most... ummm... ambitious yet.  100% of the design, manufacturing, wiring and programming done in-house.  It's a "Junkers Vibration Test Machine" that basically shakes apart bolted joints and measures how quickly the clamping load goes away.  This machine uses a 20HP (400-pound) 3-Phase motor and should be able to shake apart fasteners as large as 1-3/4" thread size.  Lots of force involved, lots of FEA work, but should be interesting to watch!

First parts that will be tested on it are 1-3/8" Grade 8 railroad track bolts - should be exciting!

Wish I had the time to learn some rendering and the permission to share pictures. I'm working on a robotic welding cell now and there are 4 robots welding something at once.

I love these threads, always nice to see what others are doing and some of these renders are crazy awesome.

Just got Inventor 2015 installed this morning, and I've managed to do the impossible:
