Friday pictures 16-May-'14

Starting this again, though i didn't have an oppertunity to actually make something new.

So, since moving pictures are also very nice, i'm going to show a simple instructional video i did in Showcase a good while ago.

It was more of a study on Showcase's animation methods, but we did use it to help a client.

Hello Niels.

Many thanks for sharing your great animation.

FYI, here is an interesting link (online help) about  "suites workflows" (for example Inventor <=> 3DSmax or Showcase).

Maybe could help other users.

Best Regards

Nicolas,

Below is a screen shot from your referenced help page.

And here is a screen shot when I open IV from the PDSU 2015 App:

Notice that the suites workflow fly out is not available. Any idea why?

Do you have the add-ins enabled?

This is from 2013, but should be similar:

Hello Rdyson,

many thanks for your question.

Effectively it is necessary

1) to have installed the applications (3dsMax, Naviswork,... )

2) to have "loaded" the necessary add-ins in Inventor (as mentionned by Mrattray)

I hope that will help you

Best Regards

Hey Ray, i checked in my PDSu 2015 and i got the flyout.
So check the addins dialog like Mike shows in his screenshot.
The path for the showcase addin is:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2015\Bin\InvToShowcaseWorkflow.dll

Thanks all.
For some reason (probably my fault) they were not checked to automatically load.
Now fixed!
