Ok, Double feature from me today.
I'll start of with the render i made of our optional lightbeam(?) we have for our sprayers:
I used the old bulb-lights, but we're moving to LED lights now.
Now, for my double feature i'll add how i make threads in ShowCase.
(since it was asked for last week.)
See the next post.

Ok, so this is more of a ShowCase tutorial then it is Inventor related, but since a lot of us also use ShowCase i hope it's usefull.
First off, the render of the finished product:
It started out like this, with no threads:
Then i extract object patches to localize where i need the threads to go:
And after that i assign a custom material to the extracted patch as a decal.
And then it's a matter of fiddling with the settings of that decal to get the scale and position to look right.
You can see the texture i used for the threads in this picture as well, it's one that comes with Inventor.

I don't have anything new. I've been working on a tank template all week, so I wil share another shot of the last week's project. Showcase again, we are looking int 3d max but it will take some time till we produce something worth mentioning.
I can barely see the threads, I had to open the image and zoom in, but nice job nonetheless, thanks for sharing.
