I have posted this one here before - demonstration of ipt, iam, idw and ipn animation in a dwfx file.  Unfortunately the animation didn't work on my current machine (I think it is an IE security setting) but does work on other machines.  Turn on your sound when playing Screencast Recording below.

I figured out what the problem was in showing the ipn animation in the dwfx file.

I had to select the animation I wished to show from a drop down list.

A gas shock I modeled for our racks, based on one of our vendors drawings.

Probably could've used another light...

We use a lot of those gas springs/shocks as well, with the same kind of swivelheads., they're pretty nice and easy to use.

I probably could have moved the lighting so the bolts didn't look black but the rest of the shock is supossed to be glossy black.

A week or two ago someone was making something like this and JD suggested using the mesh function when they wanted to put "holes" in it so you could see that it wrapped in on itself when they had it 3D printed.

(I think "Carbon fiber" makes it look like a cheap 3D print)

But I also played around some more

Then today I started again

And now I'm still fiddling with it - I'll have to see if I can find somewhere to 3D print it in something transparent.

an 8 pointed star manufactured from folded 0.6mm brass and 0.8mm stainless, each point was silver soldered in place, alot of work involved!!
