Nice, bit dark in my opinion.

Here's something i did today, always fun to do someone's personal projects.
It's a bagage holder for a custom goldwing trailer.

Thanks, yeah I don't really have time to fool with pretty picture realism - I'm just after trying to represent the physical dynamics at this time with a bit more than vectors.

The latest in tractor technology.
The tires are filled with unobtainium, right side tires are not required. Rh turns are not possible yet, but I'm workin' on it.

Looks like a lot of "Stagger" built in. This should really hook and make
great RH turns.

Articulation makes it very nimble in the field, if you can call a tractor "nimble". Very impressive turning radius for such a huge vehicle, either way you turn. I get woozy during testing.

I grew up driving heavy equipment at my dad's business. I loved driving the
articulating equipment like 966 bucket loaders and yes you can get dizzy.

Wow! Very nice Steve. Did you build all that yourself?

I'd like to say that I was totally responsible for what you see, but I would be lying.
I was tasked with building a "virtual tractor" that would be available to our entire group. Although some parts were already modelled, I had to do a fair amount of my own modelling in order to accomplish my task. 3D splines, for hose and cable routings, just about killed me.

Still working on my studio skills and some of the smaller parts need more detail.

Well looks like someone did a mighty fine job of modeling the frame, cab, cooling system, fuel tanks, fenders and intake and exhaust systems for you.

How did you get the goldwing emblem into your model?

Nice model!

Here is my entry, a keyring with the company logo, that I modeled in Inventor
(all but the chain and the ring) and rendered in Blender+Yafaray

Very impressive compressor!! I like!

What's the prime mover? Looks like an inline 6?

My first pro job was in CSgas, our comp station had 2x V12 and a V16, on the three compressors, all running on the gas they were squeezing.

Nice work.

I just grabbed a (fairly large) image of the logo from the internet, inserted it into a sketch and started tracing.
It's one of those things where it's great to know that holding CTRL while drawing lines stops automatic constraint creation...

Marco,
That render looks great. Is the chain and the ring a 3D model? Just wondering how you got it to look like it was all one piece if you didn't do them also in Inventor.

Thank you.
The chain and the ring are actually 3D models, but they are so simple
that I preferred to model them directly into Blender.
