Free Text in a Balloon

Is there a method for adding free text to a balloon? In drafting standards - balloon tab - property field it lets you add a new field, but I can’t find a way to actually add anything to this new field. Using this method when creating a parts list does add a new column and let you add text for each part, but again I can’t find a way for the balloon to reference this. My old method was to add text by using the 'Text' button on the drawing annotation toolbar and place it under the text box. Is this the only way?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Each part referenced needs to have that property
field in it's iProperties.  Whatever that field says for each part
that is what is going to show up in your balloon.  It will work.

Thanks Kathy.

Solved one problem, here is the other. What I want to do is add a quick and easy method of having the quantity of a part shown in the balloon. This is easy until you only want to reference the 6 screws shown in the exploded view, not the other 30 elsewhere in the assembly. Does this mean I have to have a property field for all the screw quantities which might arise?

Thanks again,
Pete

Sorry I am not sure how to accomplish
this.  Would a sketched symbol work with a prompted entry?
