Frame Generator Question

I have a quick question for people who know a little bit about the frame generator. I want make an aluminium frame but not sure which standard to use. I am from Australia so I have been using AS standard for other frame work but there are no square profiles in the AS standard drop down box. Do I just pick any square profile standard and use the correct aluminium material? or would that balls up all the calculations for weight and stuff?

I think what you are saying is because most if not all of the FG frame material is made out of steel, you cannot find aluminum for the square extrusion you are wondering of you can change the material after it has been placed?  If this is the case, basically you would be creating a new part and it, I believe, would frown on that.  What I have done in the past is when I did not have what I was looking for in the, basically content center, was to create my own and publish that.  Then use that in my FG assemblies.

Check with your aluminum supplier - see which standard they stock. It's likely that it will be American, as most aluminium is made there.

If it doesn't exist in frame generator, then follow Scott's advice and create your own...
