Frame analysis

Hi everyone.

Does Frame Analysis uses the finite element method?

If it does, does someone knows how to view/edit the mesh?

Thank you.

Kind regards.

No it does not use meshing, this is the reason it's able to analyze large assemblies. It's only uses the physical properties to run the analysis.

Indeed. I used Frame Analysis to work on a greenhouse because Frame
Analysis just wouldn't work.

Thank you for your answer.

Kind regards,

I don't understand that statement.
Did you really mean, " I used Frame Analysis to work on a greenhouse because FEA Analysis just wouldn't work."?

If the structure was produced using normal Inventor assembly of creating IPT's and assembled using constraints then the model must be analyzed using normal FEA means.

The only time you can use the Frame Analysis is if the structure you wish to have analyzed was constructed using the Frame-Generator module.
