I'm looking for a way to reference a folder name that contains my part / assembly. I want to use that folder name in the title block of my drawing.
For Example:
.workspace\I want this folder name\not this folder\or this folder\part.ipt
OR
.workspace\I want this folder name\not this folder\or this folder\assembly.iam
I've searched around for awhile now, but I can't find a solution.
Thanks for your help,
-Ryan

Thanks Cadmanto. Unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for.
I am only looking to 'capture' our customer's folder name of the Inventor part/assembly's full file path. Then 'pass' the folders name into my drawing to be used in the title block.
Our company's network structure is like this:
server\drawings\customer 1\machineA\replacement part01.ipt
server\drawings\customer 2
I'm hoping to automate the insertion of our customer's name based on what folder the part file or assembly file is stored.
I think then the only way you are going to accomplish this is through iLogic.
I am not very prolific with iLogic so that is not something I can help you with.
You might want to consider posting this in the customization forum to see if anyone there has a routine that can help you with this.

I think iLogic is going to be the way to go. If I could somehow isolate a certain part of file path string and set it to the 'Company' iProperty, then everything would work.
