fold and refold in idw

I have a part where two fold features in it.

Now I want to place the two positions of the part in one idw.

One position to the folded and one position to the  unfolded in a separate view in one idw.

Does anyone know how to get it done?

Mvg Jos
Youre drawings are as good as the symbols that compleet them.....

You need a Flat Pattern in your ipt file.

Thanks JD

But that is not what i want.

When i use the flatt pattern also the flanges are flatt and that is not what i want.

It is part of an instruction.
When the part is deliverd it is unfolded and the flaps should be folded over in the production.

So i want to show both positions on the drawing.

So your problem description is you want to show partially folded views as well as flat pattern or folded views.

You will need to create Derived Components to achieve this.

Hi Mvg Jos,

Not sure if this would work for your situation (if your using the vault this may not be an good idea).

You could create an ipart and have a folded and unfolded part (maybe create a row for each unfold step?)

Make sure you generate the files then you can pick them in the model state tab to show each fold.

place multiple base views (one for each ipart unfold step) then select it in the model state tab when editing the view.

See the screen shot below.

I hope this helps,
