flat pattern

Hi

I have to make something like thing from picture 1.png in real word. I know this is not possible if i would try to make it from 1 piece. 

So i draw this shape just to start from something and  pressed Flat Pattern button and i received 2.png

So

1. What is wrong

2. How can i divide this or draw to make similar shape so i could soft solder it or use hammer 🙂

Here is what I can suggest. Please see the attached. Files are in IV2010 format.

P.S. To change the quantity of segments in the assembly file edit the enclosed angle in the part file (parameter d1). The value of the angle should divide 360° evenly. Then update the assembly file.
