File Viewers

Hi All,

I have been given the task of finding a free file viewer that will view: dwg, dxf, bmp, jpg, idw, and iam.
It must also be able to print all of the above fomats.

Can any one point me in the right directions or better yet, hand it to me on a silver plater!

Thanks
David

With the exception of BMP and JPG Volo View Express
will do what you want.

Others to check out include KamelSoft and
Actify.

Hi Sean,

I agree that that is good way to go but we I was told we are getting a scanner to save old drawings and put them on cd's in the bmp or jpg formats. So the boss wants one viewer everyone can use for all formats. (easier said than done).
I will check the others you suggested.
Thanks

How about importing your .bmp files into AutoCAD
and using VoloView.

Hey John,

Great Idea, I'll give it a try!

assuming that you put all these types of files on a
CD that anyone can have. They only need to have VoloView installed with file
association set-up for DXF DWG IPT IAM IDW. Internet Explorer can view the JPG
and Paint can view the BMP. If you browse the CD using IE, it will seem like one
viewer as the files will open with the correct viewer as you click on
them.
