File open ceates a cycle???

I am trying to open an .iam file that a pack and go was performed on. When I try to open this file, I get the message that opening this file will cause a cycle and inventor asks me to open another. Any help or thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

Is it the file resolution dialogue?  for
example, is it asking you to find a file and giving you a thumbnail view and a
bunch of path information?  If so then you need to brush up on project
files.  The pack and go should have created a project file for use with the
packed project.  Did you load this project file first?

Welcome to the community..

First you replied to a posting that is 13 years old.  In the future when the posting is that old, create a new one.

Secondly you need to give us more details.

1.  Inventor version you are using?  Also are you up to date with Inventor.

2. The workflow that is causing this issue.

3.  Maybe create an Autodesk screencast (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast) and show us the problem.

Zip and attach the Pack and Go folder here and end all doubt.
