5.3 would lock files when they were in use. Nobody could remame, delete, or
modify a file when someone else had it open. That's not so since we started
using Inventor 6.0. Just to test this, I opened an assembly, and I renamed one
of the parts contained in the assembly through windows explorer. It would let
me rename the file with no problem. Only when I would try to access the part
in the assembly would the session crash. Also two users can have the same file
open at the same time and both making conflicting changes and each time one
can save over the other's work. THIS IS SCARY!!! Is there a setting in
Inventor 6.0 somewhere that will enable file locking so file can't be touch
when they're in use?
