Feature suppression option?

Is there a way to make a part features suppressed in one assembly and that same part with features unsupressed in another assembly?

Can't you do this by creating an iPart nad
replacing in the assembly?  That's what I would do if I were a Pro
Engineer.  I wouldn't go the simplified rep way.

Well if you can tell the future, what about making your part into an iPart.
That way you can have the child with supressed features and one with no
supressed features.

Well, the original question was about suppressing features....I think it could
be called configurations?

We did have a string about this not too long ago.

In it I said that I had logged a wish

See "Re: problem deriving a part"

This was to do with being able to suppress features in a
derived part
