Has anyone tried the evaluation software?

I tried it about a year ago. At that time it was basically a STEP
translator. It would take the ProE model and STEP it out into Inventor. If
you had access to ProE there was no need for it. I spoke at length with
them about feature based translators for Inventor. It didn't seem to be at
the top of their list. However their feelings may have changed since then.

According to the press release and the web site, its there. Maybe I will give it a try.

Their website currently lists CadPorter as a geometry based translator so
it's a dumb solid. I don't see any mention of Feature Based Translators
(FBT) in the CadPorter or CADDoctor section. Maybe they are waiting till
the show to announce it.

I still see this as a holy grail...(maybe they will prove me wrong)
