Feature properties adaptive Sketch/Parameters/Planes

Hello,

Today when i right clicked a feature to change the color style, my eye suddenly stumbled upon 3 checkboxes with the title Adaptive, they have always been there, I just suddenly wonder what they do:

Sketch (grey)

Parameters

From/To Planes (grey)

Is there someone or perhaps a link to a blog post that can help me learn what these checkboxes do?

I saw that the checkbox Parameters get marked if you right click the feature and select 'adaptive'.

In what situations do the other checkboxes activate? I am very curious about this.
