Greetings.
I am developing a spreadsheet-driven template. I have created the spreadsheet and have attempted, several times, to embed the spreadsheet into my .ipt file. Each time I get the message "Failed to edit dimension value". Interestingly, I created a similar template in IV2009 Pro with no issues. I searched this site, AutoDesk's hotfixes, F1 Help. I even restarted Inventor, then rebooted my machine. No joy. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be?
Not sure if this is an issue we are aware of or not? I would suggest creating a support request on line for this if you are on subscription, if not make your reseller aware of this so they can log it with us.
Regards,
Don

I am a new user and am probably missing something simple. ..... (very old) inquiry with no solution posted.
The best way to get a solution is to post the dataset that exhibits this behavior.
There are so many variables (literally) involved that I don't think a problem like this can be solved without seeing the actual files.
Attached are three (reply won't allow more) files.
The spreadsheet, and two parts exhibiting the symptoms previously described.
Thanks for any help you may offer.

Your part sketches are poorly modeled.
I didn't go any further in trying to diagnose any other problems.
Fully define sketches.
Pattern features rather than sketch entities.
I recommend you go throug these

After 4 years, my memory of this issue is a little clouded. I think what I was trying to do was create bent tubes using a spreadsheet. No matter though, I was able to make my spreadsheet and have it drive my tubes.
