Is there an option somewhere to turn off the behavior to turn a "join" into a "cut" anytime the extrude is flipped? I don't remember that behavior in 2013. I seem to recall when a "cut" was selected, the direction would flip automatically, but turning a join into a cut just because you "flip" seems more than just a bit presumptuous. I'm sure there's an option somewhere. I just can't find it.

I just tested my 2013 Inventor. If my “Cut” when flipped is going through material the option stays as a “Cut”. If there was no material it still stays as a “Cut” but will fail when executed. This may have been why the development team might have changed it.
