Extrude Both Directions

Does anyone know if Inventor will extrude a sketch in two directions to two different termination points? For example, extrude one way 3" and the other way 2" or one way up to a surface and the other way 2".

Thanks.

Hi

Make two Workplanes on both sides of the sketch
with the wanted distance, then use "from to" in the
extrude dialog box

Thanks. I was hoping for a more direct method. One that did not involve creating additional geometry but would rather utilize existing geometry. Wish List material I guess. Thanks again.

Share the sketch then extrude in the other direction

This worked for me, thank you.
Still, it seems like it would be simple to add a button that extrudes in both directions (to next). Other CAD packages have this.

You responded to a 12 year old thread?

Maybe it would be called Between or Asymmetric?

Reply to an unsolved 12 year old thread, or start a new thread. I opted to reply to the one that Google lead me to.

The Between command seems to be doing what I want. I just noticed the "Check to terminate on the extended face" box, so it works as I intended now.

Thank you.
