Extracting assembly properties into part properties.

Is it possible extract the quantity property from an assembly and use that to populate a title block item in a part drawing file?

I want to be able to print the quantity required for the assembly right on the part drawing that is released to the shop.

            I looked in to your question and through I could come up with both pro’s and con’s for your request I can’t come up with an answer that I would consider do able.

            This is like the chicken and the egg debate on who came first.

            Most of what I could come up with would not update when changes are made so I don’t consider it an answer. Others are just so time consuming and process oriented I wouldn’t waste your time with them.

            There is a possibility you could do this programmatically but that is not something we do as a rule. If you want to pursue that avenue you could post a request or look at the Inventor Customize discussion form to see if someone else has make a tool or request.
