Expressions with trig functions

I am trying to create a flange on a sheet metal part whose length and angle are based on the length and angle of another flange. I need to write an expression using trig functions and the existing dimensions from the other flange. I want an expression to read something like (d7*cos(d8))/d15. When I enter this info I get an error. Please help.

Anne, I appreciate you help. I am using IE6.0. I tried what you said but still do not see anything. I see nothing but text in this forum. There are no links for me to click on for the attachments. In the Sean Dotson and Cory McConnell response I see a "--" which I assume should be the attachment but is just not visible to me. The one thing that I could not try from your suggestion is the Tools/Option....I did not see any such option in the security tab for this. This is now becoming more of a challenge than what this thread was originally about.

See one of my responses. I typed it out in text for you.

Sean,

What you wrote is exactly what i have been using with the exception the an additional set of parenthesis. I coppied and pasted your equation into invetor and got an error. The units are the same as yours in the parametes window.

Might be something wrong with your equation or units as this works fine for
me (and Cory)

Thanks everyone for the help. I think this thread had gone on long enough. I will keep working on the solution.
