exporting an assembly model for use in other applications

a customer wants a 3d model send to them for their use in their engineering design. some models that are created are proprietary and can not be sent. is there a way to send the model of the whole assembly without sending certain parts?

If you are worried about interior components, use the Shrink-Wrap if all they need is the exterior "shell". The only other way would be to do a Save-Copy-As and then delete the items you don't want to send. Then do either a Derive to IPT for a single part or send the "reduced" IAM file or export the"reduced" model to a neutral format such as IGES or STEP

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file
