Export to step protocol

Hi,

 

I'm exporting a .step file but i'm wondering.. What protocol should i use? Whats the diffrence? I found this description but it's not clear to me.

 

 Application Protocol

203 - Configuration Controlled Design
214 - Automotive Design

Inventor 2013

Find some information from web for your reference. i.e.  http://www.steptools.com/library/standard/step_2.html

 

I think different protocol will be more suitable in different domain, 203 mainly used for 3D mechanical design and product while 214 is core data for automotive design. Both of them are defined in standard ISO10303, no big difference between them, AP-203 and AP-214 use the same definitions for three dimensional geometry, assembly data and basic product information.
