Export surfaces?

Is there any current way to or future plans to be able to export open
surfaces?

Hi Jeff,

 

I created a random surface in 2011 and exported it to STEP. As I recall, you switched to Pro/E a few years ago, so I also did a Granite file.

Jeff,

 

Could you be more specific on what you mean by "Export" and "Open Surfaces"? If you are talking about saving surface bodies as neutral formats (IGES/STEP) or other CAD packages formats, Inventor can do that already. I am not sure what "Open Surfaces" is.
